I actually thought that was it for Miss Jones for Gluten Free items but then I saw these and snapped them up because the cookies were so good.   I was lazy the day I tried these so I opted to do a bread instead of muffins.

Now, these have a lot lower sugar — which is great.  They have added some sugar alcohol to bring the carbs down so if you are sensitive to those, you might want to be careful.

So I tried these and I didn’t do pics because they fell apart quite badly — but TASTED REALLY GOOD!!!    They were a bit dryer than a lot of the other brands so they stuck to my pan a bit and well that was just it.  I did the bread and it actually never looked like a bread — lol.  It was like a good bottom half but then a few pieces of disaster top of the bread.

But the good news — IT WAS YUMMY – and my non-gluten free family members ate it even though it was a mess.   And my husband who hates most “keto products” polished it off the next morning with his breakfast.   SO IT IS ANOTHER WINNER FROM MISS JONES.   I just need to remember to coat the living daylights out of the pan or get a new silicone pan to do these in (oooh a reason to buy kitchen things!)

If you have AMAZON FRESH — These are CHEAP!!!   like under $3 a box CHEAP.   Which is really nice for a gluten free item as that is usually not the case.   If you do not have Amazon Fresh in your area, they are in most major grocery stores and they are available on Amazon regular but the price is a lot higher and you need to buy a case of 6.

The nutritional info is at the bottom (FYI lots and lots of sugar!)  If you want or need icing with your brownies (these really didn’t need that but if you love them that way) just make sure you are choosing a gluten free one.  Most icings will be gluten free so there is no need to buy a “special” one, just double check the ingredients in case someone is using a gluten product as a filler.

So I reviewed both the Glutino Yogurt covered Gluten Free Pretzels and the Glutino Gluten Free Pretzels.   Both are awesome.

The yogurt ones are a sweet treat and they are more of a cookie replacement than a snack as you can’t have too many of them without the calories really adding up.  The regular Gluten Free Pretzels are more forgiving as you can have A LOT of them.   You can have approximately 16 of them for around 100 calories so quite a lot without a big calorie spend.   The nutrition for both the yogurt covered and the plain are at the bottom of the post.

The plain are Vegan, the yogurt covered are not.   Both are of course Gluten Free like all Glutino products.

The actual cookies are REALLY SMALL.  So if you just want a little treat with your coffee or tea, they are perfect.  But also you can have 5 cookies for 150 calories.  5 of these is a lot of cookies.   So awesome if you want to have a few.  I found 2-3 to be perfect.    They did contain almonds and pecans which makes them super tasty but just an FYI for anyone with allergies or if you are thinking of putting them in a school lunch, it may be a no-go and best saved for home.

They are moist with a little crunch but not overly crunchy.  I am for sure adding these Siete Mexican Wedding Cookies to my shopping list.  I bought them on Amazon so even with delivery, I didn’t have one single broken cookie in the whole bag!.

They do seem a bit hard to get though at times but give them a try if you can locate a pack as they are yummy!!  I have found them on Amazon and also at Kroger in the cookie aisle by the gluten free cookies and they come in other flavors if you don’t like Mexican wedding cookies — which why wouldn’t you , they are delish!!

Well, they arrived, I bought fancy cheese to have them with — I rarely eat dairy so I was excited for a little crackers and cheese lunch.

And – NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

These are not only nothing like their Gluten crackers (which are beyond tasty), these are just plain nasty.   I can’t even really put my finger on it all the reasons why but here are a few

• they are super dry.  Like REALLY REALLY Dry.    Their traditional gluten crackers have a sort of buttery mouthfeel so this was surprising and disappointing.
• they taste weird and maybe even old.   They were not stale and not expired but they didn’t have that fresh yummy taste of their other product.   They also didn’t taste anything like a cracker should.  Never mind a cracker that is over 5 bucks a box.
• they are expensive for a very small box.    Box is smaller than their traditional box and yet even more expensive.  I know gluten free products can cost more but they are getting you in 2 ways with the smaller package and with the higher price.

So these are a NEVER DOING AGAIN NO GO.    At some point when I get more reviews on here, I will do some sort of chart of the YUM, OK and the the NEVER, EVER — for right now, these are starring in the NEVER EVER world as I wouldn’t try them again if they were free.

I will be reviewing some other crackers on here that are better so check back for those as I kinda love crackers.   For now, my suggestion is Simple Mills Cheddar as they are crunchy and tasty or if you want something sweeter, Simple Mills Cinnamon tastes like a graham cracker so since it is camping season, it would be nice if there was a giant one of those for smores

Some gluten free products are lesser versions of the original.  They often taste ok but they often lack the same mouthfeel of the original.   These taste like a oatmeal chocolate chip candy cookie that your Mom made.  They are soft and absolutely delicious.  So delicious in fact, that I order them as needed – I don’t dare keep them in the house as I would bake them every day and weigh a thousand pounds.  So if you love a soft oatmeal peanut butter cookie with a buttery super yum taste, these are for sure it!

Gluten Free Cookie Mix  — Miss Jones Monster Cookie Mix – GET IT NOW ON AMAZON

A few notes for people with special diets or allergies.  These use gluten free oats so anyone who is living gluten free, these are awesome.    If however, you are vegan, these cannot be made Vegan.  I thought they could be as my brother is Vegan and his wife has Celiac but even if you replace the butter and egg with a Vegan option, these have beeswax in the candies so they are sadly a no-go.

If you have a peanut or egg allergy, these are also a no-go as you add both of those to the recipe to make the cookies.  So they are also not a “school friendly” option.   Sadly, this is the only Miss Jones mix that is gluten free so I won’t be trying any of their other items but they do have some other products, just not gluten free.    I think the egg could be handled using a Vegan “Flegg” where you use flax meal and water so if someone wanted to try that and let me know in the comments that would be awesome.

A note for busy people.  These took less than 15 minutes including the baking time and I actually baked them in the toaster oven – hot here in the South to turn the oven on every day – so this is a super easy recipe.  And I used parchment paper for easy cleanup so it was literally one bowl and a spoon and one measuring cup so very few dishes to wash.   Hope you try them and love them!!   It is so nice to find a gluten free cookie mix that actually tasted decadent and not like you are missing out
